Meyonda's Biography
Meyonda Benjamin took an interest in sewing in 1998 with classes
being offered at the high school she attended. She started producing
fashion shows during her high school pep rallys. Her admiration
for veiwing dresses seen at red carpets events fueled her interest
in clothing design. Meyonda decided to further her knowledge of
the industry by continuing her education at the Savavnnah College
of Art and Design where she obtained her Bachelors of Fine Arts
Degree in Fashion Design in May 2005.
Upon graduating, Meyonda launched her line Tre J where she originated
custom garments for formal occassions such as, weddings, balls,
operas, sweet sixteens, and other formal functions. In August
of 2004, college friend Keiona Cook approached Meyonda on combining
our strengths to formulate a new business venture. Both designers
combined craft, skill and ideas to Spark the diverse MeyKii Inc
fashion house.
